Medit Inc. Announces FreedomView – Advanced Borescope for Hazardous Applications

July 13, 2015 — Medit, Inc., big and reliable North American online company that supplies innovative equipment for NDT applications, is happy to introduce the latest product from their professional line of viewing devices – FreedomView Advanced Borescope.

“Our new borescope is ready to go where you are not – it’s highly durable, maneuverable, and delivers professional quality footage of remote problem areas that can be hazardous for people”, said Terry Peristerakis, Sale Manager at Medit, Inc.

Camera’s Other Outstanding Features

FreedomView combines three important features that any NDT professional is looking for in a viewing device: outstanding maneuverability, high-quality viewing characteristics, competitive price. It is an all-in-one device that can follow you everywhere you need to go to carry out remote inspections. This compact, hand-held scope delivers the same high quality images as bulky professional systems – only at a fraction of effort and time.

As to the outstanding maneuverability, it features ultimate continuous angulation due to the probe’s 11mm distal end that articulates 110⁰ in every direction, which allows operators to reach and capture images of virtually any remote area or structure. While patented OptiLux™ No-light Loss Technology brings out every little defect of that problem area. FreedomView works with extra durable 6mm (.236”) in diameter, 2m/79” long tungsten-braided probes.

The lightweight, ergonomic control unit operates on a rechargeable Li-ion battery, features a 3.7” transflective touchscreen display and offers users intuitive joystick-controlled operation. All inspection process can be recorded as videos or captured as photos, saved to an SD memory card or streamed right to a laptop via USB.

One of the unique features of this American made professional borescope is that it has recently been certified for use in Class 1 Division 2 hazardous locations and is highly recommended for military, law-enforcement, customs and other professionals who have to approach and examine dangerous objects, structures or areas.
