New Articulating Inspection Zoom Camera Has Been Launched by Fiberscope.net

New INSPEKTOR ZOOM Telescopic Inspection Camera with magnification and articulation features is a perfect fit for law-enforcement and security related applications as well as for manhole and duct inspection.

Fiberscope.net is announcing the arrival of a new INSPEKTOR pole mounted camera with built-in zoom and an articulating head. This U.S. made inspection device has been engineered especially for the examination of tight spaces opening up into larger size cavities. Application areas include checking fuel and other tanks, contraband, drug or weaponry searches, as well as sewer and manhole inspections. The telescopic camera is likely to be of particular interest for the military, security and police forces, law enforcement agencies, and customs.

The INSPEKTOR zoom camera pole consists of four sections, three of which are made of virtually unbreakable rugged aluminum. The fourth section, made of fibreglass, contains the pull cables providing the camera head with two-way articulation (90 degrees in each direction). The articulation is controlled through the twist handle with foam grip for easier manipulation. The working length of the standard pole ranges from 4.1' (1.24m) to 10.9' (3.3m). However, this can be easily increased up to 40 ft. (12m) by adding extra aluminum sections. The camera head diameter is 2.5'' (63mm). The camera is equipped with a 10x optical zoom, which allows inspections anywhere within the distance of 1 ft. to 200 ft. in well lit spaces and between 1 ft. and 100 ft. in darkness. The built-in image processor and a low light sensitive camera chip (0.015 Lux) help to deliver a good image quality even in adverse inspection environments. The image is visualized onto a 5.6'' (14.2cm) LCD display with 640x480 pixel resolution. The monitor is compatible with optional thermal or infrared camera heads. Color, contrast, brightness, sharpness and other image parameters are all accessible from an onscreen menu. 24 bright white LEDs ensure the adequate illumination of the inspection area.

The captured photos and video recordings are stored on a removable SD card. A 32GB card stores up to 30 hours of video or 7,500 still images. The unit comes with two rechargeable NiMH batteries that can be recharged from a wall outlet or a vehicle charger. The zoom camera kit also includes a right angle adapter, a chest harness and a hard plastic carrying case.
