Affordable Pro Class Videoscope with a 3mm Articulating Insertion Probe from Fiberscope.net

Portable premium grade videoscope with an extra thin 3mm probe. Features include 2-way articulation, tungsten braided probe, advanced CMOS sensor and 3.5x digital zoom. An explosion proof version is available.

Fiberscope.net is presenting iRis DVRx, an affordable professional class videoscope with an ultra thin insertion probe diameter of just 3mm (0.12’’). Despite its diameter, the probe with 2-way articulation is well protected from physical damage by extremely durable tungsten braiding. In addition, the probe is waterproof (up to 14.7 psi or over 10 meters in fresh water) and oil-resistant. The high quality CMOS camera chip along with three-stage adjustable LED lights are located within the short rigid distal end at the very tip of the probe. The working length of the new probe range between 1.5 and 4m (4.9 to 13.1’).

The control box of this compact and extremely lightweight (1.35 kg or 3 lbs.) inspection tool is equipped with a large (5’’) integrated color TFT display with  a 640x480 pixel resolution. The user interface is very clear and intuitive. A user can adjust settings by direct action keys, function keys and arrow keys on the onscreen menu. The inspection is documented as either still images or video recordings in BMP or AVI formats respectively. Removable SDHC memory cards (one 8Gb card is included) are used for file storage. A 32Gb card is able to store up to 32,000 photos or 500 hours of video. All captured files are automatically assigned a date and time stamp. Other noteworthy features include a built-in measurement tool to determine the exact size of problem areas. A specialized explosion proof version of the iRis DVRx with a 3mm probe can be manufactured upon request.

The unit comes with a rechargeable Li-ion battery (a charger is also included), capable of working up to 6 hours when fully charged. A 12V AC adapter is also provided as a secondary power supply source. A hard plastic carrying case is included with the videoscope for added portability and protection.

The new iRis DVRx videoscope with the 3mm probe may be able to claim the place of one of the most affordable inspection tools in the premium segment. Along with durability and a very compact size this USA made device will surely attract the attention of remote visual control professionals.
