The Snake Scope Voyager is an affordable video borescope suited for a wide range of inspections, particularly those of small openings, narrow passages and bores, molds, and castings. This videoscope is equipped with full omnidirectional articulation and a generous selection of interchangeable probes. They come in several diameter options: 2.2, 2.8, 3.9, and 6.0 mm. The two larger sizes boast enhanced quality HD resolution at 1280x720 pixels, but even the smallest diameter (2.2 mm) provides high-quality images at 160,000 pix resolution. All probes, regardless of size, are water- and oil-proof (IP67) and protected from damage with tungsten braiding. A tiny CMOS super HD camera chip with 1 Mpix image resolution is located at the very tip of the probe.
The inspection proceedings are visualized on a 3.5 color TFT LCD display. The photo and video files captured during the inspection are saved on a removable micro SD card (included with the videoscope). File management and image control functions include image and video playback, formatting, flipping, freezing, and zooming in and out. A rechargeable and interchangeable Samsung 2200mAh, 4.2V Li-Ion battery serves as a source of power for the Snake Scope. Autonomous power enhances the portability of the device and broadens the scope of its use. High-output white LED lights provide sufficiently bright and consistent illumination even in a completely dark environment. IR LEDs and a 50 mm to infinity focal range are also available upon request. Apart from the main control unit and the probe or probes, the video borescope kit contains video and USB cables, an 8GB memory card, a card reader, a carrying case, and a removable magnetic stand to secure the scope on a metallic surface in the desired position.
