Liquid level control relays for liquids in tanks, wells, cisterns and barrels
Finder has extended its 72 Series range of liquid level control relays for use with conductive liquids.
Operation is based on detecting the resistance through the liquid between two probes (if control is required about a single level) or between three probes (if the level is to be maintained between maximum and minimum limits). In either case, one probe is located at the lowest point as the “common” probe, (or the tank, if metallic, can be used instead).
Although particularly suited for monitoring liquid levels in tanks, wells and cisterns, special probes using approved plastics and AISI A311 stainless steel are available, and are compatible with potable water and liquid foodstuff such as wine, milk, beer or coffee.
The Series comprises two models, Type 72.01 and Type 72.11, both of modular style, 35 mm wide and for mounting on 35mm rail (EN 60715). Both feature a 16 A changeover output contact and are available in 24 V AC/DC, (110… 125) V AC, and (230… 240) V AC versions. Type 72.01 is also available for 400 V AC supply. Both can be used in the emptying or filling mode.
These products ensure a high level of electrical safety thanks to the double insulation (6 kV 1.2 / 50 µs) between power supply circuits / contacts / probes .
These control relays are available in versions with sensitivity adjustment from 5 to 150 kOhm (set via the front selector), or versions with a fixed sensitivity value of 150 kOhm.
