Finder energy meter for three-phase systems: new Type 7E.85

The Finder energy meter range is expanded with the introduction of Type 7E.85, a cutting-edge bidirectional multifunction device specifically designed for use in three-phase systems with and without neutral.

The new energy meter Type 7E.85 stands out for its capability to measure currents up to 10,000 A when used with appropriate current transformers (CTs), ensuring exceptional measurement accuracy and precision.
The Type 7E.85 is compliant with the MID (Measuring Instruments Directive) up to 70°C, a certification that guarantees its accuracy in Class 0.5 (C) for active energy. This makes it particularly suitable for fiscal metering and cost allocation in multi-user environments where accuracy is critical. The use of current transformers allows it to overcome the limitations of direct-insertion meters, enabling the measurement of high loads typical of large industrial plants.

Connectivity and Operational Flexibility
Communication flexibility is a key strength of this meter, which integrates a Modbus RS485 or M-Bus interface. These standard protocols simplify the meter's integration into industrial automation and energy management systems like SCADA, BMS, and EMS, enabling remote monitoring and data centralization.

The device is also equipped with two S0 outputs, one of which is programmable, ideal for sending pulses proportional to measured energy to external supervision systems. The ability to configure single or dual tariffs directly on the meter simplifies the management of complex contracts, allowing for consumption optimization based on time slots. The backlit LCD display and intuitive physical button navigation make configuration and data reading immediate. The programmability of the CT full scale adds another layer of adaptability to various system configurations.

Its robustness, with an extended operating temperature range up to 70°C, ensures reliable performance even in adverse environmental conditions.
