New miniature cooling aggregates

In comparison to free convection, miniature fan units efficiently dissipate large amounts of heat in a small space by means of strong air currents.

So-called miniature cooling aggregates are very useful for dissipating large amounts of heat in a small space as they can dissipate significantly more heat per unit volume than free convection by using strong air currents. Fischer Elektronik GmbH & Co. KG is expanding its existing product range of miniature cooling aggregates to include additional designs with the designation LAM 7 and LAM 7 K. The 70x70mm aluminium base profiles used also contain an efficient internal heat exchange structure, which is optimally adapted and matched to the air volume and dynamic pressure of the fan being used. The powerful axial fan motors flow air through the fin channel and ensure very efficient device deheating. The internal cooling fins absorb the heat given off by the device and dissipate it to the internal air flowing through the enclosed channel structure. The small-format miniature cooling aggregates of the LAM series are suitable for use on PCBs, in subracks and cases and provide the greatest possible heat dissipation for high-performance electronic devices in a small space. In the LAM 7 design the components are mounted on the respective mounting surface by means of inserted threads. The LAM 7 K version, on the other hand, has a groove geometry integrated in the profile and, in conjunction with special snap-in transistor retaining springs of the THFU series, enables screwless and secure fastening of the transistors on the miniature cooling aggregate. After the snap-in transistor retaining spring has been installed in the groove geometry, the spring is held immovably in position and fixes the transistor to the mounting surface with high contact pressure. The fans used for the miniature cooling aggregates are offered by Fischer Elektronik with 12 and 24 V operating voltages.

Additional mechanical CNC machining, modifications or special designs as well as surfaces are realised according to customer-specific requirements.
