Traditional inspection methods, such as micro-ohm tests or power factor measurement, can be labour-intensive and require the system to be taken out of service. FLIR’s guide explains, the incorporation of thermal imaging into standard inspection routines allows engineers to collect temperature data in real time, pinpoint hot spots on bushings before failure occurs and avoid unnecessary downtime.
