The Importance of Managing VOCs Emission is Worth Repeating

VOCs, the abbreviation of Volatile Organic Compound, originate from automobiles, industrial production, and civilian use.

Studies have shown that long exposure to the components will damage the liver, kidneys, or central nervous system.

That is why governments plan to cope with the problem, longing for a solution for this health-threatened issue. As a leading environmental issue solutions provider, FPI can offer professional equipment and advice for managing the issue.

Introduction of Our Solution

The integrated solution contains the following aspects:

1. Investigation: field inspection, underway measurement, scientific samples testing, comprehensive assessing

2. Monitoring: points-line-plane-region integrated monitoring network; pollutant source, environmental air quality.

3. Management: intelligent monitoring of the pollutant source, environmental quality monitoring, pre-warning and source chasing of the pollutant, emergency response.

And here is a detailed introduction of each step:

1.Environmental investigation

First, a comprehensive investigation of the natural environment, related companies, and environmental quality conditions will be promoted to certify the quantity and distribution of the pollution. It will improve the data recording, providing a comprehensive look at the environmental quality within the area and back up the management decision. The process will be divided into the following steps with two types of monitoring equipment: field and mobile:

· preliminary canvassing

· on-scene investigation

· make a document

· major pollutants sequence elimination

· report producing

· Environmental monitoring

2.Environmental monitoring

Advanced monitoring concepts and all kinds of VOC monitoring equipment, be it online, mobile, or portable, will be adopted and leveraged to construct a points-line-plane-region monitoring network.

Points - regular checking, quantifying the pollutant, controlling and managing the source, and illustrating the potential risks.

Line - implementing real-time monitoring of the distribution concentration, route, and frequency, like building a “digital fence.”

Plane - defying the pollutant source and making classified management while offering guidance for monitoring location for identifying the source.

Region - mastering the regional environmental quality information to find out the potential reasons for pollution generation. It can also help to forecast the potential risk of photochemical pollutants.

3.Environmental management

First, digital environmental management platform construction. It is based on big data and the requirement to realize monitoring, analysis, comparison, and intelligent monitoring. It can help improve governments’ monitoring capability.

Second, multilateral big data implementation. We will analyze the data in different methods, which then will be collected into a comprehensive report and further efficient management.

Third, pollutant’ features analysis. Features like concentration, distribution, and vagaries because of the evolving time and environment.

Fourth, components and source analysis. We will conduct various scientific research on the pollutants to clarify the identification.

Case Analysis

FPI is a professor in this area whose capability is trusted by many institutions, governments, and companies. Here are some cases where we have taken part.

· On Photochemical Components -- China National Environmental Monitoring Centre

We contributed to constructing its photochemical components monitoring network in 2007, which has been implemented in some secondary stations in Beijing, Tianjin, and Hebei. We were responsible for the equipment operation and maintenance, data checking, and analysis, including the abnormal data, pertinence, and evolving concentration, while making sure the data could be uploaded in time.

We conducted internal standard checking, external variance verification, and relevant indicators checking, which would be collected in a daily report. The process can ensure a 95% efficiency of the data, exceeding the national requirement, and the equipment has been operated for 3 years. Our professional data monitoring and analysis build a solid foundation for China to make scientific and efficient management decisions.

· On VOCs -- Industrial Park in the Jinwan Industrial Park in Zhuhai, Southeastern China

To manage the VOCs in the industrial park, we have developed a monitoring system covering the major zones, factories, and pollutant sources. The system can be a data showcase and a center for system operation, which comprises a monitoring chain that extends from pollutant production, and emission detection to influence monitoring, conducive to the efficient control and management of the volatile organic pollutant.

Conclusion

Air quality management is a headache for governments and companies. The efficient implementation will bring benefits to all. So why not cooperate with the professor, who can offer you sound support, encouraging your every step during the process? And FPI can be the professor.
