CEMS-2000A Continuous Carbon Emission Monitoring System, High-Precision for the Goal of Carbon Peak and Carbon Neutrality

According to the Global Risks 2020 Report released by the World Economic Forum (WEF), the top five global risks for the next 10 years are all related to the environment for the first time.

Among them, "failure of climate change mitigation and adjustment measures" ranks first among the top five risks in terms of severity of impact in the next 10 years. Climate change, caused by greenhouse gas emissions, has become one of the world's significant challenges.

By the end of 2020, 44 countries and economies worldwide have officially declared carbon neutrality targets. In 2008, the UK became the first country in the world to legislate for net zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050 when the Climate Change Act came into force. The US also re-signed the Paris Agreement in 2021 and plans to set a goal of achieving carbon neutrality by 2050.

On March 12, 2021, "Establishing a carbon emission peaking action plan by 2030" and "Anchoring efforts to achieve carbon neutrality by 2060 and adopting stronger policies and measures" were added to the national development program.

Why do we need carbon monitoring?

As the concentration of greenhouse gases such as carbon dioxide in the atmosphere climbs year by year, global warming significantly impacts human production and life, and it is necessary to understand the concentration levels of greenhouse gases and their changing trends.

On the other hand, many governments have drawn up greenhouse gas emission reduction policies and targets to cope with climate change. An international accounting system for GHG emissions has been constructed to assess the effectiveness of policies, and carbon monitoring is necessary to assist the accounting system.

Enterprises' production is one of the vital carbon emission sources, and the production process will emit CO and CO2, which are flammable and toxic. Other exhaust gases cause the greenhouse effect, so monitoring carbon emission sources in key industries have become an important part of carbon emission reduction work.

To better help "carbon reduction" work, FPI has developed a new product for the CEMS series! CEMS-2000 A continuous carbon emission monitoring system, a single unit can simultaneously realize CO and CO2 monitoring!
