Taking a stand with SVAN

An innovative guidance system from Föhrenbach – now also available with position readout

The classic amongst the linear adjustment units – the SVAN guidance system of aluminium: easy to combine, designed for high moment load, available from stock – this combination convinces and lets more and more users take a clear stand. The guide system can now be ordered from a size starting 30 mm with a digital position readout in order to be able to read the exact position over the entire carriage length.

The high-quality system allows to adjust or set up products or objects of investigation even more exactly and to secure them at the desired place. The innovation of this is the clearance-free clamping with a height and side offset of less than 0.003 millimetres. The system is widely applied, especially in the areas of research and development: In order to position a measuring camera, to move an object of investigation under the microscope within the micrometre range or to position laser heads perfectly for precision machining, for example, for micro-drillings – if it has to be precise, specialists turn to SVAN from Föhrenbach.

Five sizes between 20 and 120 millimetres for standard strokes between 5 and 100 millimetres characterise the wide application range. The fast combinability to 2- or 3-axis systems via prepared mounting rails expands the possible fields of application additionally. All drillings for x-y-z-assembly are present so that no further post-treatments are necessary. Users value the good adjustability with micrometre screws or, on request, with a hexagon wrench key.

All in all, with the quality touch & feel in aluminium anodised, the SVAN system offers numerous possible combinations for diverse possible applications.
