Small, round, precise: Föhrenbach extends the

RT2A series by 50-millimetre rotary tables

“The round thing must go into the square thing”, this saying does not only apply in football, but also in mechanical engineering. More precisely: rotary tables for assembly and machining technology, or for the laser processing for example, must be integrated into the working area of the respective machine. The smaller the rotary table, the larger is the constructive freedom. Therefore, Föhrenbach now offers the RT2A 050, whose table diameter is merely 41 millimetres.

The new rotary table is also available in a variant with an even higher precision relating to run-out accuracy (0.005 mm), axial run-out (0.005 mm) and parallelism (0.010 mm). The rotary tables of the series RT2A have proven their value for many years in thanks to their high precision and longevity. The compact construction with integrated precision roller bearing is carried to extremes to a certain extent at the newest and smallest member of the RT2A family. Like all tables of the series, the 50s rotary table has got a very small interference circle and a large transparency aperture, through with the die supply lines can be routed. Both the motor and the reference point switch are installed as standard, so that the rotary table constitutes an immediately useable complete system, which does not need any additional components.

With the appropriate output stage, the stepping motor acts like a servomotor. Thanks to its high precision in the positioning and repeat accuracy, at radial and axial run-out, as well as parallelism, the rotary table is suitable for demanding positioning tasks. The high holding torques, tilting overturning torques and tangential torques guarantee a particular torsional stiffness and ensure an exceptionally wide spectrum of applications. The rotary table is sealed (IP 50), can be operated in every mounting position and offers standard hole patterns for easy mounting.

“At all applications, which require the round positioning in preferably small building spaces and which require therefore for example compact table machines, the RT2A 050 offers many new possibilities to construction engineers”, promises managing director Manfred Föhrenbach.
