Silicone-free, robust and heat-resistant belt for-tyre industry applications in extreme temperatures

Hanover, June 25, 2015 – No silicone, no problem in high temperatures

Forbo Movement Systems has developed a conveyor belt especially for applications where very hot temperatures prevail. It can cope with these challenging demands and doesn’t require any silicone.

The new belt, PVK150MF BXB-NA SCHWARZ FR from the Siegling Transtex range is very robust and puncture-resistant. In the tyre industry in particular it can be used as a take-off belt behind rubber mixers (e.g. Banbury® mixers).

In the tyre industry and in industrial rubber production silicone is often not permitted. Therefore, the demand for silicone-free belts is huge. The new Siegling Transtex PVK150MF BXB-NA BLACK FR belt is the perfect solution for high-temperature applications where silicone can't be used.

The rough top face reduces the contact area between the hot product and the conveyor belt, therefore helping air insulation by the cushions.

This belt type is also an excellent choice for applications where temperatures of the products conveyed (e.g. rubber sheets) reach up to 160°C.

Furthermore, the PVK150MF BXB-NA BLACK FR stands apart for a particularly incision-resistant fabric. These characteristics also mean the type is ideal as a feeder/take-off belt in the metal-working industry.
