Investment in the development of a Southco E3 VISE ACTION® mini compression latch mold

The head type is designed to meet specific installation and application requirements

Recently, at the request of an Australian customer of an air-conditioning cabinet facility, Fornd Industries has invested in a small-sized compression latch molded from the SOUTHCO E3 VISE ACTTON@ compression latch mechanism. The locking mechanism combines a wide range of body and head styles designed to suit specific installation and application requirements.

This series of miniature compression latches is designed for vibration-proof, enclosed, quality-demanding installations that close quickly and securely. Six body styles accommodate a wide range of door/panel thicknesses, pitch ranges, actuation types, and internal protrusions Easy-to-operate knobs and pull-type actuators provide fast, easy opening More than 45 keyed and tooled actuators effectively limit access and prevent vandalism Low-profile and flush mounting prevents panel surfaces from becoming uneven Fixed-pitch and adjustable-pitch models are available A wide range of models are available to meet NEMA 4 and IP-65 requirements Single-hole mounting makes installation easier and more convenient 65 Single-hole mounting makes installation easy Compact design with short shackle for space-constrained applications.

Available in a variety of materials and finishes including: stainless steel, chrome plated, or black powder coated. Designed for stable operation, the latch is fixed behind the door frame and pulled tight with a continuous 180 degree turning movement. The compression movement pulls it upwards by more than 5mm accordingly to provide secondary protection when sealing and to help minimize or eliminate noise or thumping caused by vibration. Eccentric latching prevents accidental opening due to shaking or vibration.
