Hydraulic Boom

Safety and Productivity Increase in Primary Crushing Systems

Technological development in terms of processes and products has been evident in recent years in the mineral and ornamental rock extraction sector. These developments take advantage of the increasingly effective technological solutions in terms of materials and components (e.g. Industry 4.0) which combined with the needs of the extraction units and acquired knowledge make the mining sector increasingly safe.

In crushing units, it is common to have blockages in the crusher's feed mouth caused by out-of-measure rocks resulting in production losses, high economic costs and serious work accidents.

Crushing is one of the processes associated with transforming rocks into usable products. This process is nothing more than reducing the size of rocks and can be repeated several times in subsequent processes until the desired granulometry is achieved.

The installation of a hydraulic boom considerably improves productivity, maintaining production capacity, preventing the crusher from clogging. The demolition arm is used to resize large material and also to route obstructed or stuck material towards the crusher.

The Hydraulic Boom allows you to perform this operation because:

• Built with the necessary ranges for each application;

• Quickly eliminates out-of-shape rocks;

• Increases productivity;

• Ease of operation in order to reach the feeder and the crusher;

• Ease of maintenance;

• High operating safety.

Thus, by ensuring that the primary crusher always operates at maximum capacity, it brings significant economic benefits, since the consequent increase in production is evident making the acquisition of this type of equipment economically viable in a short period of time.
