The convenience of a compact platform with modular flexibility

GCube Performa was designed to combine all the potential offered by a monoboard automation platform with the flexibility of a modular structure.

Thanks to its modular structure, GCube Performa guarantees high flexibility and scalability depending on the type of machine and its complexity.

The core of the solution is ePCLogic400, which manages all functions such as sequence control (PLC), manufacturing processes management (Function Block), data setting and visualisation (HMI) and connectivity (Ethernet, CAN, serial, USB).

With its modular design, based on a main rack that houses the CPU and the I/O modules, the ePCLogic400 is a package solution that is therefore immediately ready to use. The system may also be expanded locally through the insertion of further modules, or in a distributed manner, through the use of fieldbuses.

The product is mounted on a DIN rail. Data is stored on solid-state drives and/or convenient removable supports such as SD cards, which can store years of process information and ensure its complete integrity. The product has a passive, fanless dissipation system, which makes it more reliable and which does not require maintenance.

Systems diagnostics may be conducted through the integrated Ethernet connection and related services (WEBserver, VNC, Java Pages, FTP, Modbus TCP), covering different security, user level and graphic requirements.

Data visualisation and setting is conducted through the ePanel and eGT-I operator interfaces, which are available with various sizes of display, in horizontal or vertical versions, and with keyboards or with touch screens only.

The system uses a single standard, integrated and easy-to-use programming environment, which enables rapid development of the application software. Communication is supported through a wide variety of available ports, including ethernet, serial, CAN, USB, and different protocols: GDNet (real-time protocol based on Ethernet), Modbus TCP, Modbus RTU and CANopen.
