Industrial E-waste Shredder for Waste Solar Photovoltaic Panels Is Shipped

Large waste solar photovoltaic panels double shaft shredding machine for sale

Recently, rain and snow have continued to hit Qinghai Province, with temperatures plummeting. But for a well-known domestic research institute contracted to dispose of waste solar photovoltaic panels in Qinghai, the arrival of not only the rain and snow that urges people to add clothes and quilts, but also the shredding equipment that will improve the efficiency and yield of recycling high-value materials in waste photovoltaic panels.

Against the backdrop of a steady transition to a low-carbon energy system in order to achieve the goals of carbon peaking by 2030 and carbon neutrality by 2060, solar photovoltaic power generation, which is resource-rich, clean, safe and renewable, is becoming one of the main protagonists of energy supply in the carbon neutrality process at an unprecedented rate.

Data shows that China's photovoltaic industry is currently the world's number one in terms of manufacturing, industrial scale, technical strength and enterprise strength. According to estimates by relevant institutions, in order to achieve the double carbon target, China's installed PV capacity will reach 1.5 billion kilowatts in 2035, and the installed PV capacity will need to increase 12 times by 2060. However, the service life of PV modules is 20 to 30 years, thus, along with the booming PV industry is the advent of the "scrap tide" of PV modules - the annual retirement of installed PV capacity can reach 110 million kilowatts, corresponding to the generated approximately 1.05 million tons of scrapped photovoltaic modules.

These end-of-life PV modules are endowed with both resources and environmental hazards. Poor use or improper disposal will not only lead to a waste of strategic resources and affect the sustainable development of the industry, but will also pose a threat to the ecological environment and human health. Of course, as the material composition of end-of-life PV modules is the same as that of the corresponding product, they contain a variety of valuable metals and have a very high resource recovery value. For example, crystalline silicon PV modules contain up to 92% of glass, aluminum and semiconductor materials, and about 1% of silver and other precious metals, while thin film PV modules contain tellurium, indium, gallium and other rare and precious metals that are imported from abroad. It can be seen that the recycling of end-of-life PV modules is of great significance.

The GEP's double-shaft shear shredder, which was sent to Qinghai to carry out the task of recycling end-of-life PV modules, is driven by motor + planetary reducer, with low speed and high torque and strong power; the crushing main body consists of integral knife box, high strength spindle and imported alloy steel knives, with high shearing force, high stability, good shredding effect and long service life... ...can quickly achieve the goal of shredding and recycling the high-value components of waste photovoltaic modules. The whole process of mechanical crushing, no waste water, waste gas and dust generation, can achieve the treatment process harmless, high recovery yield, low resource consumption, environmental pollution, high economic efficiency.

After pre-shredding, fine shredding and sorting processes the PV modules will be sent to different industries for reuse. For example, broken glass is sent to the glass manufacturing industry, aluminum frames are sent to aluminum refineries, waste plastics can be used as fuel in cement plants, silicon can be reused in the precious metals industry and cables and connectors can be sold as copper beads.

Based on the feedback from users, the R&D team will continue to optimize and upgrade the disposal process of waste PV modules to further improve the recovery efficiency and yield of its high-value materials and solve the problems that may arise in actual production, so as to help improve the whole industrial chain and achieve the double carbon goal as soon as possible.
