The RFP-480 Raman probe has been developed for use under the most extreme of chemical conditions.

The patented principle of window adaptation ensures that the probe is constantly stable and virtually maintenance-free. This is achieved by completely isolating all the fibers and optics in the probe tip. The fused sapphire window is protected by the stainless steel alloy, Hastelloy C-276, which is almost temperature- and shock resistant. The RFP-430 Raman sensor can be connected to a laser and to a Raman spectrometer via standard fiber optic connectors. Two different fiberglass bundles with 19 and 7 individual fibers are available. The fiber leading to the laser has a core diameter of 100 µm.

The RAMANProbe II is a versatile fiber optic probe for immersion analysis based on the patented optics of the original RAMANProbe. The 8" long body and removable sleeve enable the probe to be immersed directly in solutions for true in situ analysis. The focal distance is selectable to optimize the measurement of dark or turbid solutions.

The standard immersion sleeve is made of stainless-steel with a sapphire window. Overall, the probe is 5/8" in diameter, small enough to fit inside typical laboratory-scale vessels. By dispensing with the Hastelloy C-276 probe material, the RFP-430 Raman probe is a cost-effective alternative to the RFP-480. This probe has been developed for Raman spectroscopy in laboratory applications. A considerable shift between the end of the sensor and the viewed area diameter on the sample is achieved by using a relatively thin sapphire window. The RFP-430 is thus ideal for use in analysis conducted through glass vessels. Compared to other Raman probes, the focal point of the RFP-430 has been enlarged without adversely affecting the optical sensitivity of the measurement. This leads to reduced heating of the sensor during measurement, greater system stability and non-sensitivity with minor inhomogeneities.
