Anniversary: 25 years for NORD in Norway

In May 1998, the Norwegian subsidiary was established in Drøbak. Today, it is located in Bergen, the second-largest city in Norway. This year, the NORD subsidiary celebrates its 25th anniversary together with its customers and partners.

In May 1998, the Norwegian subsidiary was established in Drøbak. Today, it is located in Bergen, the second-largest city in Norway. This year, the NORD subsidiary celebrates its 25th anniversary together with its customers and partners.

The service and sales office in Bergen ensures close proximity to the most important industries in Norway and Spitsbergen, and supplies them with geared motors in all sizes. “During the last 25 years, our turnover has constantly increased and it is our aim to continue to increase our sales in the future”, says Tony Isaksson, managing director of NORD GEAR NORGE AS. “In the field of fish farming, we see particular potential for the use of our geared motors.”

The NORD subsidiary covers many application areas. The most important target industries include fish farming as well as oil and gas production, shipping and mining. To meet the higher requirements for explosion protection or the use in harsh environments, the company’s drive systems are also available as ATEX versions or with the nsd tupH surface treatment.
