Anniversary: NORD celebrates 25th anniversary in Poland
NORD Napędy Sp. z o.o. in Zakrzów was established in 1998 to expand NORD’s sales network and to gain more regional customers.
Thanks to the successful business development and continuous growth, NORD inaugurated a new office and administration building at the site in 2018 and moved its sales branch there.
In the early years, the focus of NORD’s Polish subsidiary was on the sale of drives, technical support and services. This changed with the construction of production facilities in Poland. In 2006, the factory in Nowa Sól was opened, which now has a total operating area of 30,000 m2 and is constantly being modernised, e.g. with a new paint shop, production of new components, new assembly lines and an automated small parts warehouse. In 2019, the factory in Wiechlice started operations – the area is currently being expanded to 30,000 m2.
What is manufactured in Poland?
At the factory in Nowa Sól:
Production of gearwheels, gear unit shafts, worm shafts, motor shafts and rotors for motors
Assembly of helical, bevel and worm gear units as well as frequency inverters
Goal: 500,000 drive units per year
At the factory in Wiechlice:
Asynchronous motors
Synchronous motors
“It is our goal to further expand sales, new customer business and our market share in the field of drive technology in Poland and to adapt our production capacities to this”, says Jarosław Bilich – managing director of Napędy Sp. z o.o.in Zakrzów. “The most important target industries are agriculture, intralogistics, food and beverage as well as the sugar industry.”
