In general, short-wave UV light is an important factor in the aging of polymers in durable materials; long-wave UV light and even short-wave visible light are the main causes of degradation of non-durable materials.

Is there a way to quickly simulate the test? Haida has specially developed a xenon lamp weathering test chamber that can simulate the hazards caused by sunlight, rain and dew. The principle is to use a xenon lamp to simulate the effect of sunlight, and use condensed moisture to simulate rain and dew. The material to be tested is placed in a cycle program of alternating light and moisture at a certain temperature for testing, which can take days or weeks. Recreate hazards that occur for months or even years outdoors. Artificially accelerated aging test data can help select new materials, modify existing materials, and evaluate how formulation changes affect product durability. Suitable for automotive interior and exterior materials, electronic product casings, plastics, textiles, coatings and other materials.

What are the working characteristics of this instrument?

a). Ventilation cooling device: The temperature ventilation and cooling system of the test box is automatically controlled by the temperature controller, and the cooling system is used in the box to cool down.

b) The control blackboard thermometer adopts wired transmission technology, which effectively improves the control accuracy. A black panel thermometer BPT or a black standard thermometer BST is mounted on the sample holder.

c) Optical fiber transmission is used to measure the radiation intensity of the xenon lamp to avoid the problem of measurement error caused by temperature.

d) Device: In order to record the working time of each test, the equipment is equipped with a timer on the operation panel, which can control the time of the equipment, and the equipment will automatically shut down when the timing is over.

e) Protection device: In order to make the xenon arc lamp work normally without damage, the xenon lamp will automatically go out when the door is opened, and the whole machine will stop working.
