Haydon Kerk Pittman launches linear actuator series MiniSlide™ MSA

Waterbury, CT - As the world leader in compact linear motion systems, Haydon Kerk Pittman, a business unit of the AMETEK® Advanced Motion Solutions Division, is pleased to announce the launch of its new product line MiniSlide™.

Today more than ever, designers of laboratory and automation equipment must integrate sophisticated motion control solutions in tight spaces. These equipment manufacturers need solutions that are adapted to their application while being economical. The MiniSlide can solve these demanding challenges by reducing the time, cost, and performance issues associated with developing linear assemblies from individual components. MiniSlide assemblies are highly configurable, simple to integrate, and offer a low and compact profile with a stable base, all at an economical price. The MSA series is small in size, but big in performance!

The MiniSlide series offers great configuration flexibility with two motor options: a 21 mm hybrid linear actuator, size 8, and a 20 mm can stack linear actuator, 19000 series. In addition, there are nine different lead screw options ranging from ~0.3 mm (0.3 mm) to 8 mm (0.8 mm) pitch - offering resolution up to 0.001524 mm (0.00006 inches) per pitch, with axial forces up to 45 N and stroke lengths up to 150 mm (1.5 inch). Finally, four different lubrication options, a rotary encoder feedback option, and English or metric mounting standards are available.

The MiniSlide series offers proven versatility for a variety of single and multi-axis applications. Offering a compact, cost-effective and highly customizable linear motion solution, the MSA Series is ideally suited for laboratory equipment applications such as sample handling, spectrometers and chromatographs, molecular analyzers, optical microscopes and other inspection equipment.
