Testing machine for component testing

Hegewald & Peschke to equip Norwegian research institute

SINTEF is a Norwegian independent research institute in the field of technology, natural sciences and social sciences headquartered in Trondheim, Norway. It works as a contractual partner for the public and private sectors. For this purpose SINTEF has several large advanced research laboratories at its disposal, ranging from microelectronics and nanotechnologies to the world's largest marine laboratory and the world's largest laboratory for the multiphase transport of oil and gas.

Hegewald & Peschke has now delivered a component testing machine inspekt S300 kN with free-standing spindles to SINTEF Oslo for equipping the testing laboratory in Oslo. SINTEF uses the testing machine for component testing on various building products and materials, such as scaffolding and sprayed concrete, as well as for calibration purposes. The special feature of the testing machine is that a T-slot plate recessed into the floor serves as the lower fixed traverse. This makes the test area virtually at ground level, which greatly simplifies handling. The T-slot plate also offers a wide range of fixing options for test specimens.

Furthermore, the testing machine is characterized by a particularly large test space: The test space height is 3500mm, the test space width 1680mm.
