Length measurement on electrode materials for innovative batteries

For this application, Hegewald & Peschke has supplied a 1D measuring device to Innolith Science and Technology GmbH. The energy technology company specializes in the production and development of innovative batteries. The non-flammable electrolytes enable batteries with higher voltages and higher capacities with longer durability as well as higher safety. Applications for these innovative batteries include automotive, power grid, and aerospace.

The supplied length measuring device is used at Innolith to measure electrode material. Since the materials are very sensitive with a width of 35 to 80 mm and a thickness of 0.3 mm, new workpiece supports were developed for the measuring device. They ensure that the material is fully supported during length measurement and is not damaged.

The equipment of the length measuring fixtures can be individually adapted for each customer requirement. The high-quality and robust measuring system with precise and smooth-running linear guide enables the simple and reliable recording of length measurements with particular attention to flexibility and economy.
