Prizewinner Waldmann wins the iF Award 2017

The ROCIA.focus LED machine luminaire wins a design award

Waldmann has won this year's iF DESIGN AWARD, enabling it to join the ranks of the winners of this globally renowned design label. The prize was awarded for the ROCIA.focus LED arm-mounted luminaire for machines.

The iF DESIGN AWARD is awarded on an annual basis by Germany's oldest independent design institution, the iF International Forum Design GmbH in Hannover.

The ROCIA.focus LED machine luminaire, a joint development by Waldmann and oco_design, was able to convince the 58 members of the independent, international jury of experts through the symbiosis it achieves between functional, timeless design and innovative lighting technology Even in unusually harsh industrial environments - machine tools, timber processing or textile machines - it delivers lighting that can be focused precisely at the point where it is most needed. Its exactly adjustable arm, lenses with different beam angles and flicker-free dimming allow optimum control of the state-of-the-art high-power LEDs. The luminaire head and arm are made of aluminium and painted black, giving the ROCIA.focus its unique look.

There was a very large number of applicants. The jurors had to consider no fewer than 5,575 submissions from 59 countries before they could award their coveted quality emblem.
