Attractive Total Cost of Ownership for stationary monitoring of drinking water networks
Transfer measurement data via LoRaWAN®
Stationary monitoring of drinking water networks using noise loggers is a proven technology. The noise loggers are placed on the water pipes and, so to speak, listen to the water networks. This means operators can quickly see whether water losses are occurring in their network. What is new about the SePem® 351 noise logger is that the measurement data is transmitted via LoRaWAN®. LoRaWAN® is an easy-to-install and cost-effective network that many utilities successfully use to monitor various municipal services.
9 year battery life
The battery life of a SePem® 351 is 9 years. This very long running time in conjunction with the LoRaWAN® network makes the attractive Total Cost of Ownership (TCO - costs over the entire operating life) of the SePem® 351 possible. The TCO is further improved by the great reliability of the SePem® 351 in use.
Highly sensitive microphone
The highly sensitive microphone of the SePem® 351 enables excellent quality of the measurement data. At the same time, this high-quality microphone also improves the total cost of ownership of the SePem® 351, because fewer loggers are required to monitor a network than with other systems. How does this work? The high-quality microphones allow a significantly greater distance between the individual noise loggers. Monitoring is still guaranteed at a high level.
The SePem® 351 logger is specially designed for stationary use and measures the noise in the pipe network at a set time. Following the measurement, the recorded data is evaluated and prepared for transmission. So that the measurement data can then be sent, the logger must be registered in a LoRaWAN® network.
Use existing network information system or cloud-based solution
New leaks can be detected within a few hours as the measured values from each SePem® 351 are transmitted daily. Network operators can feed the determined data into existing network information systems. If your own network information system is not available, the data can be accessed and analysed using the cloud-based SePort solution.
LoRaWAN® is a brand used under the LoRa Alliance® licence.
