Intergraph® Releases CADWorx® 2015 with New Capabilities and Performance Enhancements

and sharing CADWorx design models on the Apple® iPad®

HUNTSVILLE, Ala., December 4, 2014 – Intergraph® has released CADWorx® 2015, the next-generation AutoCAD®-based software solution for plant design and automation that has enhancements to CADWorx Design Review that allow the generation of .ifv files for viewing and sharing CADWorx design models on the Apple iPad using the free Intergraph FreeView® app.

Intergraph CADWorx, an intelligent 2D and 3D plant design system, provides ease of use, flexibility, scalability and interconnectivity. The software offers process and instrumentation diagram (P&ID) synchronization with the model plus intelligent modeling and automatic production of design deliverables such as isometric drawings and bills of material, enhancing organizational productivity throughout the engineering and design process.

Other CADWorx 2015 features include capabilities for routing of mitered elbows, skewed pipe design and male and female needle valves; custom field default values for models; new tables in the specification editor; and a new, more user-friendly ISOGEN® interface. Patrick Holcomb, Intergraph Process, Power & Marine''s executive vice president of global business development and marketing, said, “CADWorx is a complete solution that provides full intelligence and automation plus full integration with analysis solutions, capabilities that deliver significant productivity benefits to the organization. Its ability to deliver fast implementation and project turnaround saves time, material and expenses – major reasons it has been so successful among plant designers and engineers.”

“Even though CADWorx is an AutoCAD-based plant design solution, users still have access to industry standard solutions such as ISOGEN, for isometric creation, and OrthoGen, for the creation of automated plans, sections and elevations – just as they do with higher-end solutions,” said Rick Allen, president of Intergraph CADWorx & Analysis Solutions (ICAS) and executive vice president of Intergraph Process, Power & Marine. “This means that small to midcap projects can still quickly deliver the quality of output that clients have always required, regardless of project size and complexity.”
