Intergraph® Process, Power & Marine Partners with Dynaflow Research Group to Offer Fluid Flow Analysis Software in Europe

Intergraph signs a reseller agreement to sell BOSfluids®, a three-dimensional fluid flow analysis software

AMSTERDAM, The Netherlands, April 19, 2016 – Intergraph® Process, Power & Marine has signed a reseller contract with Dynaflow Research Group (DRG) to sell DRG’s BOSfluids® software in the European region. BOSfluids is a three-dimensional fluid flow analysis solution that models steady state and transient flow in liquid or gas carrying piping systems. The software has a bi-directional interface with Intergraph’s pipe stress analysis software Intergraph CAESAR II®, eliminating redundant work processes and improving the quality of pipe stress and fluid flow analysis.

The software simplifies the way both static and transient flow analysis of gas and liquids in pipe systems are conducted. It analyzes fluid transients and relates this information to the forces, pressures, flow rates and velocities in the piping system with engineering accuracy, improving the quality and safety of the analysis.

BOSfluids analyzes and predicts problems in the pipe systems, such as water hammer and pressure surge, enabling users to avoid breakage of the pipe system and nozzles.

Niels Bos, partner at Dynaflow Research Group, said, “We believe that this seamless interaction between dynamic pipe stress and transient fluid flow analysis, enabled by BOSfluids and CAESAR II, will drastically improve the efficiency of engineering analysis for our clients.”

Peter van der Weijde, vice president at Intergraph CADWorx® & Analysis Solutions Europe, said, “The addition of BOSfluids to our analysis portfolio further strengthens the solution suite we are offering to our clients. We are certain that this cooperation will enable our customers to enhance the safety of their engineering analysis.”

Bennie Buys, mechanical engineer at Axis Mechanical Design, added, “The smooth interaction between BOSfluids and CAESAR II has enabled us to avoid redundant work and increase productivity, as the 3D models created in CAESAR II can be easily used in BOSfluids.”

BOSfluids is an interactive computer simulation package that models steady state and transient flow in liquid or gas carrying piping systems. The software package analyses fluid transients and relates this information to the forces, pressures, flow rates and velocities experienced in the piping system with engineering accuracy. The software uses a clear and detailed 3D interface designed for strong interaction with typical oil and gas software packages, such as pipe stress software.

Intergraph CADWorx & Analysis Solutions’ offerings allow design and engineering to share relevant information seamlessly, thereby maintaining accuracy and improving efficiency. These include CADWorx Plant Design Suite, for AutoCAD®-based intelligent plant design modeling, process schematics and automatic production of plant design deliverables; CAESAR II, the world's most widely used pipe stress analysis software; PV Elite®, for vessel and exchanger design and analysis; TANK™, for the design and analysis of oil storage tanks; GT STRUDL®, one of the most trusted, adaptable and fully-integrated structural analysis solutions in the world; and Visual Vessel Design, a comprehensive pressure vessel, shell and tube exchanger, and boiler design and analysis solution.
