Cooling technological process with dry coolers from SECESPOL .

When there is a technological process with big heat load, one of the most effective way to decrease the temperature is cooling with dry coolers. Technological processes are connected with a lot of hydraulics and other fluids that are absorbing heat. The working temperatures of those medias are most of the time much higher than the ambient. The easiest and cheapest way for cooling is to make it with circulating media that is coming from the dry cooler. We can also put it directly but most of the times there is need of intermediate heat exchanger.

In general, when we are putting the media inside, the temperature is reduced thanks to the ambient air. The fans are working with high speed and the capacity that they can provide is large especially if the difference between the flow and media is bigger.

If there is need the dry coolers can come with adiabatic system that can reduce even more the temperatures. They are increasing the humidity up to 100% and the temperature is going down according on the enthalpy line in h-x diagram.

The power consumption is only from the fans and the effectiveness is very big. The maintenance is almost nothing, because the only possible malfunction is on the ventilators and the control block. If there is something wrong the spare parts can be easily changed and the system will be back on function almost immediately.

The only negative is that the temperature and the capacity are restricted from the ambient air.

During the winter the dry coolers are one of the best possible solutions. There are three different types according to the needs and the place that can be installed. The capacity is without limits, because there can be several parallel connections with different number of modules in series.
