What is the difference between absolute and relative pressure?

Differences

While absolute pressure measurement is used to make weather forecasts or altitude measurements, relative pressure measurement is used, for example, to determine filling levels by measuring the hydrostatic pressure of the respective medium.

Relative pressure always forms the difference to the ambient pressure, which consequently leads to an external environmental dependency. With absolute pressure, on the other hand, the pressure is measured in relation to the vacuum and cannot be influenced by external influences such as environmental factors.
