Vortex flow sensor
Type 2xx
Flow sensors are based on the vortex street principle after Kármán.
The Kármán vortex street describes the flow around a body, which in turn forms counter-rotating vortices. This measuring technique allows mass flows to be determined with a high degree of accuracy. These flow sensors are used in the areas of heating, heat pumps, water treatment, dosing, etc. Huba Control flowmeters are ACS and WRAS certified and therefore also suitable for the use with drinking water. They have analogue or frequency outputs that can be connected to an NTC or PT1000 temperature output to enable temperature measurements in the liquid flow without a jet or thermowell.
