New Hutchinson compound for SF6-replacements

Given that SF6 is a greenhouse gas with a very high GWP, it requires performing seals for protection of both the installation and the environment.

At the same time, driven by the discussion of the greenhouse potential of SF6, a wide range of gases has already been evaluated. Hutchinson supports that trend by developing new compounds which are resistant to the new generation of gases.

Within a multi-stage development project, Hutchinson replied to the new specifications of the OEMs by developing several compounds.

Regular measurements of the mechanical properties document the behavior of the compound over time and the outstanding sealing performance.
