High intensity and basic functions – The new LUMIMAX® BASIC series

The new BASIC series for various Machine Vision applications offers optimized acquisition costs through the focus on essential functions and a smart optomechanical design.

Under the name BASIC, LUMIMAX® is presenting a new, High-Power LED lighting series for diverse Machine Vision applications. The focus on essential functions and the smart optomechanical design allow acquisition costs for this series to be optimised while maintaining high quality and reliability.

The lightings in the BASIC series can be precisely switched synchronously with image acquisition thanks to digital, load-free SPS trigger inputs. The available light colours red, white and infrared enable numerous Machine Vision applications to be realised. With modern LED technology used in a highly efficient manner, the lightings reaches new intensity dimensions in its attractive price segment. Compact aluminium housings with highly flexible 3D cable outlets and a standardised LUMIMAX® BASIC connection concept allow the lightings to be easily integrated into industrial Machine Vision systems.

Thanks to protection class IP64, the series can also be used in very harsh industrial environments and is protected against dust ingress and spray water. The mechanical design of the BASIC series is based on minimum external dimensions so that the lighting can also be used optimally where conditions offer very little space for installation. The LUMIMAX® BASIC LED Area Lights in the BF series are available from as early as November. Both the reflected light version with a 30° LED beam angle and the backlight version with a highly diffused distribution of light can be used in diverse ways in all areas of Machine Vision.

At the beginning of the coming year, this will be followed by the LUMIMAX® BASIC LED Ring Lights in the BR series. These can be used for the uniform lighting of plane, matte and reflective surfaces in reflected light. All four sizes of light can be installed to make one large light field without significant mechanical delimitations.
