Robotic cartoning line boosts efficiency in door lock packaging
A concrete example of how integrated automation and robotics can optimize packaging efficiency, quality, and throughput.
Imanpack introduces a fully automated packaging solution developed specifically for manufacturers of door lock components, where precision, reliability, and high throughput are essential.
The system integrates advanced cartoning technology with robotic handling to streamline both primary and secondary packaging operations. The process begins with an intermittent motion cartoner, designed to insert a single component into each carton and securely close the interlocking flaps. This guarantees uniform presentation, accurate alignment, and consistent quality throughout production, while minimising material waste.
Secondary packaging is handled by a cartesian pick & place robot, equipped with vacuum gripping technology. The robot simultaneously picks multiple cartons and places them into a larger shipping box, forming complete packs with high repeatability and speed. This automated step significantly reduces manual intervention and improves overall line efficiency.
The packaging cycle is completed by an automatic carton taping unit, ensuring that each box is properly sealed and ready for palletising or distribution.
Built on a modular concept, the line can be easily adapted to different product sizes, packaging formats, and production capacities. This flexibility makes the solution suitable for international manufacturers seeking scalable and customised automation.
With this project, Imanpack confirms its commitment to delivering smart, integrated packaging systems that enhance productivity and support industrial growth worldwide.
