OXYGEN GENERATOR FOR WATER TREATMENT

O2 GENERATOR IS USED IN JAPAN FOR WATER TREATMENT

We delivered a container solution consisting of an oxygen generator, a compressor and a buffer storage. The IMT PO 1450 oxygen generator generates 3 cubic meters of oxygen with a purity of 93% per hour and is used by a company group known worldwide. A test facility for water treatment for industrial purposes is to be built in a part of the group that deals with the manufacture of electronics. The oxygen generator is used to produce ozone here.

Ozone (O3) is a molecule that consists of three oxygen atoms (O). In water treatment, ozone is used for the environmentally friendly oxidation of manganese, iron or organic building blocks and for disinfection. Ozone molecules disintegrate in the air within a very short time and cannot be stored (e.g. in bottles). Because of its instability it has to be produced on site.

In addition to other methods, oxygen can also be used for the artificial generation of ozone. For this purpose, the introduced oxygen molecules are split into atomic oxygen in an ozone generator and finally recombined to form ozone. Up to 40 grams of ozone per cubic meter can be obtained from 90 grams of oxygen per cubic meter.
