Innova installs a new Stretch Hood Line in Mexico

First installation of Stretch Hood Technology in Vitromex

Vitromex has entrusted Innova to undertake its first installation with the Stretch Hood packaging Techonology for their production plant in San José de Itúrbide. Vitromex is one of the leading Mexican companies in the ceramic sector, with over five production centers, and has the largest ceramic press in all of South America to date.

The new Stretch Hood project was aimed to renew their current Packaging system, which was only able to manage 30 pallets/hour with a shrink wrapping system. Thanks to the new Stretch Hood SH Pro line, Vitromex was able to resolve different technical standards and current problems:

• Be able to achieve a greater packaging capacity reaching 150 pallets /hour, thanks to Stretch Hood technology.

• Remove combustion problems that could produce holes in the pallet. With Stretch hood technology the film never gets overheated since it employs cold packaging.

• Optimize the heavy load handling, which can only be done with forklifts. The Stretch Hood film fully adapts to the load underneath the base of the pallet, permitting the entry of the forks and eliminating occasional perforations and loss of stability.

• Achieve total protection of the product against external factors such as dirt, sun, etc as the storage of the pallets takes place outdoors.

Vitromex project to renew their Packaging line also included an installation in the San Luis Potosí plant with the same specifications.

Thank you Vitromex for relying on Innova for your end-of-line packaging solutions.
