Sizzling seals sorted by super special shaft soaking system

Certified to current ATEX directive 2014/34/EU – II2GD-IM2_TX

Designed for use within the most arduous of environments “wet mount” assemblies provide pump to electric motor mounting arrangements specifically designed for use within hazardous areas where high temperatures can be generated by shaft seals fitted to hydraulic pumps.

The operating requirements of many hydraulic systems, where changes in flow and pressure are needed, can cause pulsation around the shaft seal area, which in turn causes the surface of the seal to rise in temperature. This, if uncontrolled, will lead to a potential ignition source. This was a problem jbj Techniques was asked to remedy . . . .

The wet mount assemblies are supplied in carefully selected materials suited to the application and are complete with an integrated oil reservoir which when supplied with a cooling flow allows cooled fluid to wash the seal area and maintain the seal temperature at an acceptable level. The reservoir can be of varying sizes dependant on the application requirements. Assemblies are available for either horizontal or vertical mounting arrangements.

Designed for either horizontal or vertical installations and are available for motor frame sizes ranging from D132 – D355, (5.5kW – 400kW). The bellhousing and coupling are certified to current ATEX directive 2014/34/EU – II2GD-IM2_TX.

jbj Techniques integrate extensive product knowledge and specification ability with excellent machine shop services and comprehensive product stocks to provide the service needed to keep your machinery systems performing to the optimum.
