JEKRAN is proud to introduce its latest 5-axis waterjet cutting system, a next-generation solution developed entirely in-house to meet the demands of modern manufacturing.
Unlike conventional waterjet systems that rely heavily on third-party components, JEKRAN designs and manufactures both the 5-axis cutting machine and the high-pressure direct-drive pump at its own facilities. This vertically integrated approach provides greater control over quality, performance, and long-term reliability, while ensuring seamless integration between every critical component.
The system delivers accurate 5-axis bevel cutting and complex 3D cutting across a wide range of materials, including steel, stainless steel, aluminum, titanium, composites, glass, ceramics, stone, and plastics.
Its intelligent probing system measures multiple points across the material surface to generate an accurate surface mesh. It also precisely establishes the material’s X and Y position, allowing the cutting program to be accurately aligned with the workpiece. The measured surface mesh is then used by the CAM-generated cutting program to control the cutting-head height throughout the cutting process.
Camera-assisted positioning and calibration further simplify material alignment and improve operational efficiency, particularly when working with irregularly positioned sheets or previously cut material.
The cutting head has also been designed without exposed pipes, hoses, or electrical wiring in the working area. All critical services are protected inside the machine structure, reducing their exposure to water, abrasive, dust, and other contaminants present in the cutting environment. This robust design improves reliability, reduces maintenance requirements, and protects essential components from accidental damage.
