Deep Drawing Cups Testing Machine
The application of the device
This machine is a precision equipment for conducting process performance tests on metal sheets and strips. It can be used to test the plastic deformation performance of metal sheets and strips during the testing process. It can also be used to test the anisotropy of non-ferrous metal plates. It can also test related materials by replacing relevant molds.
The Erichsen cupping test is to use a steel ball or spherical punch of a certain specification to apply pressure to a sample with a blank holder force of 10kN around it until a penetrating crack is formed in the sample. At this time, the depth of the punch pressing (mm) is the cupping value of the plate, which is used to determine the plastic deformation performance of the material.
The deep drawing cups test is a process in which a strip of thin plate or strip is made into circular pieces using a cutting knife. The sample is pressed between a blank holder and a die, and under the impact force applied by the punch, it undergoes plastic deformation along the radial direction, resulting in a cylindrical cup being drawn in one go. This is used to measure the anisotropy of the material, indicated by the ear making rate.
Circular blanks are used as test pieces, and the drawing ratio, i.e. the ratio of blank diameter to punch diameter is 1.8.
