JINPAT Photoelectric Slip Ring Successfully Applied to Tethered Drone

The tethered drone is a drone system realized by combining the drone and the tethered integrated cable. The tethered drone transmits electrical energy through the photoelectric integrated cable, so that the drone can stay in the air for a long time without being restricted by electric energy.

According to the needs of tethered drone customers, JINPAT R&D team designed an photoelectric slip ring with an outer diameter of 33mm and a length of 92mm. The slip ring can withstand high temperature of 110 degrees Celsius, voltage reaches 400V, 2 channels of 30A current, plus a single-mode fiber slip ring, successfully applied to tethered drones.

JINPAT R&D team uses optical fiber slip rings to provide many advantages such as small size, simple structure, moderate cost, large amount of information transmitted, and long transmission distance. It uses optical fiber as the data transmission medium to solve the data transmission. The slip ring is especially suitable for applications that require unlimited, continuous or intermittent rotation.

Besides, JINPAT photoelectric slip ring has low insertion loss, high speed, no electromagnetic interference. Non-standard customization can be selected, It can support maximum 200 channels of power current or signals, and can transmit various mixed high-speed data (such as Ethernet, USB, RS232, RS485, CanBUS, and other industrial buses).
