A slip ring is a critical component with various names in different industries. As a device capable of achieving 360° rotation to transmit power and signals, slip rings find significant applications in the military domain. In military equipment, small-aperture hollow shaft slip rings are widely used. These slip rings have small apertures, and their diameter and volume are relatively small, making them suitable for energy and signal transmission in small rotating military devices. In platforms such as military vehicles and small to medium-sized aircraft, the radar volume is generally small, and the power and range of the radar are limited. Consequently, the structure of the required slip rings is relatively simple, usually adopting small-aperture through-hole slip rings.

The JPE LPT012/015/038/039 series represents slip rings with small apertures used in radar applications. The LPT012A-0701-E2 and LPT015-0610-E3 are the smallest aperture products in this category. They are relatively simple integrated slip rings composed of multiple power rings and one Ethernet channel. These slip rings are mainly used in shipborne collision avoidance radars, airborne, vehicle-mounted navigation radars, short-range detection, and some small target indication radars.

The LPT038/039 series of slip rings are similar to the LPT012/015 series in application platforms but have slightly more advanced functionalities. In addition to having more power rings than the previous two product categories, they also transmit more types of signals, resulting in a greater number of signal channels. The LPT038-1205-12S and LPT039-0605-16S-E2 are representative models of these small-aperture slip rings. The LPT038 uses standard slip ring molds, giving it a significant advantage in delivery speed and other aspects.
