Engine control without parametric software

Speed switching simply solved

KALEJA offers an engine control series for 150 watts of DC engines in various variants. The different models specialize in constantly occurring functions and use cases and are very easy to adjust. This means that parametric software can be completely dispensed with.

KALEJA GmbH focuses on power electronics for the control of brush-controlled and brush-free direct current motors. The range of functions ranges from simple insertion from functionality to controllers with speed specifications via 0-10 V analog inputs, rotating direction control, power limit or power shutdown, ramp control and much more.

In cooperation with various pilot customers, an engine control series has been developed that can do without parametrization via software. The aim of application engineers in automation technology was to save the familiarisation and maintenance of the parametric software as well as the documentation and archiving of the configuration files.

The goal was achieved by bundling different functions of engine control into different models. Thus, the new engine control series offers a solution without parametrization via a software for almost any control system for DC engines.

In the latest variant M2-3DR-5-30, digital signals can be used to provide full speed or two adjustable speeds. The speeds are set at 2 potentiometers on the front. At two other potentiometers, the ramp can be adjusted for acceleration and delay. Individually, these ramps can be switched on or off between switching operations. The control is used, for example, for linear units or tape drives, where the demand for a simple speed switching is in the room.
