The New Portable Video Endoscope from KARL STORZ NDTec

The newly founded KARL STORZ NDTec GmbH joint venture based in Walsdorf presents its new portable videoscope for the non-destructive testing of components at the start of the Control international trade fair.

This universal system solution expands the KARL STORZ NDTec product range in industrial endoscopy. It includes a precise mechanical joystick for 360° rotation, interchangeable probes, a high-resolution CMOS camera, a 3.5" LCD TFT monitor and all the digital functionalities expected of a modern industrial video endoscope.

Thanks to its compact and ergonomic design, precise visual inspections can be conducted with just one hand. At a diameter of 4 mm, inspections can be easily performed even in very narrow cavities. This lightweight system running on a lithium ion battery features a shock-resistant, robust housing that protects it against splash water and dust. The wear-resistant, durable tungsten braiding protects the outer sheath from abrasion.

The videoscope features probes with diameters of 4 and 6 mm and working lengths up to 5 m. LED light modes makes it suitable for special applications such as UV and infrared.
