More small and mid-sized businesses use robotic welding in their production: The Kawasaki Robotics Partners AKON, ASTOR and Tiesse Robot present new automated welding cells to the visitors of the leading fair
Even in small and mid-sized companies, flexible automation of production processes has become a deciding success factor. In order to support this trend, Kawasaki Robotics (www.kawasakirobot.de) and its international partners focus on the development of compact, automated welding cells. Three of those welding cells from AKON in Germany, ASTOR in Poland and Tiesse Robot in Italy were available at the Kawasaki Robotics booth to the visitors of the leading fair Schweissen & Schneiden from September 25th to 29th 2017. A major highlight: The Kawasaki Robotics partner CENIT visualized all three cells with their digital factory software FASTSUITE Edition 2 in 3D simulations. Visitors were able to experience the tool specifically designed for the easy offline programming of welding cells.
Plug & Play: Complete Cell for Automated Welding
A decisive advantage for mid-sized businesses: All welding cells can easily be integrated into existing infrastructures and processes while maintaining long-term maximum flexibility. Through their long experience in the welding industry the partners are able to precisely adapt the cells to the individual needs of customers of all sizes. “Our customers are not only looking for the right robots, but a complete package which can easily be integrated into their production plant. With their compact and modular design as well as their well-balanced components our cells are ideal for entering the world of automation”, explains Carsten Stumpf, General Manager at Kawasaki Robotics.
Modern Robot Technology: The Basis of Welding Cells
The new Kawasaki Arc Welding Robot BA006L is at the centre of all cells. With a range of 2,036 mm and the Kawasaki Hollow Wrist, the robot covers a large work range and enables easy welding in difficult to access areas. The Green Welding Cell by ASTOR offered the visitors of the fair a first glimpse at the new line of high-quality positioners offered by Kawasaki Robotics and ASTOR. The K Positioners are available in several variants, are optimized for welding processes and several other applications and can be operated as an additional axis of the Kawasaki robots.
