Kee Lite fittings provide a solution for a Cycle Huez portable clothing stand

KEE LITE fittings have provided performance cycling brand HUEZ* with a straightforward solution for its portable clothing stand at the Yorkshire Festival of Cycling.

Held at Harewood House in Leeds, to coincide with the official Ceremonial Start of the 2014 Tour de France, the inaugural Yorkshire Festival of Cycling took place from 4th-6th July 2014. As well as offering cycling fans the opportunity to see the Tour de France riders in person, the three-day festival encompassed a large Expo, featuring many major and emerging cycling brands.

Suppliers of stylish, modern cycling wear, HUEZ* designed a streamlined stand for the Expo. They required a framework that was strong and secure, lightweight, transportable and quick and easy to assemble. The functionality of KEE LITE fittings, both ultra-light and strong, thanks to the high strength to weight ratio of the aluminium alloy, made them ideally suited.

“The KEE LITE product was a very attractive solution, in terms of cost, convenience and quality,” explains Lorenzo Curci, founder and director of HUEZ*.

The structure’s security and stability were excellent, as was the convenience of installation. Crucially, the HUEZ* team was able to assemble the stand themselves. Requiring no specialist labour, the simple but effective system of tube and modular fittings needs only a standard hex key to tighten recessed set screws and lock the tube firmly in place.

KEE LITE fittings offer flexibility and can thus be applied in various different settings, from contemporary shop fittings to industrial guard rails. In addition, they make it both simple and cost-effective to design and build, then change and extend, tubular structures. In fact, HUEZ* was subsequently able to re-use the original fittings to create an installation in their London showroom.
