Quick delivery thanks to global presence:

Industrial brakes from Kendrion INTORQ

Delivery delays, raw material shortages, or low freight volumes due to the coronavirus pandemic have unfortunately become the norm in the industry in recent times. Not so at Kendrion: Thanks to the local-to-local strategy, the company’s deliver performance remains at a consistently high level. Kendrion produces its industrial brakes at various plants in Germany, China, India, and the US, while ensuring uniform production processes and identical quality standards.

Kendrion not only produces brakes on site, the company also procures materials locally whenever possible. This saves time and money, guarantees optimal supply reliability, and also reduces the carbon footprint thanks to short transport routes. “Many of our customers are also represented in these countries,” according to Ralph Krone, Head of Sales & Marketing at Kendrion INTORQ GmbH. “They reap numerous benefits from our global presence strategy: short delivery times, reduced costs for transport, and also simpler processes and less administrative effort overall.” The latter is in part due to the worldwide identical material numbers of the components. This helps customers significantly when it comes to stocking materials and keeping track of the data in the system.

“If you buy our brakes in Germany, for example, you can have them serviced anywhere in the world,” Ralph Krone summarizes the concept. “We can provision wearing parts, professional inspections, or even complete replacement worldwide, if needed.” Product management and the development of the industrial brakes takes place centrally in Germany. The German headquarters is also responsible for the products in all regions. Customers who have a development department in Europe can also do business with Kendrion Europe and have the products delivered from another region, if they prefer.

Generally speaking, customer-specific developments of industrial brakes are handled locally in terms of technical and business issues, and support is provided by the specialist departments in Germany. The employees in the international subsidiaries are familiar with the local market, are able to communicate in the corresponding language, and they are attuned to local customs – all of which prevents misunderstandings from the outset. Pricing tailored to the market is ensured through assembly services in the respective region, among other things. Kendrion customers thus have a reliable and professional partner on their side around the world.
