Korenix wireless devices with advanced cyber security and efficient management for large-scale remote applications

The Internet has made large amounts of information available to enterprises. Connecting a private network to the Internet can expose critical or confidential data to malicious attack from anywhere in the world. Thus, security and handy management has become a critical demand when operating a remote control network. Korenix releases a new version of the firmware with enhanced features on its wireless AP and IP Gateway solution (JetWave 32/33/3420 series) for advanced cyber security and efficient management in large-scale remote applications.

The new enhanced features of firmware V 1.2 are:

1. Inbound firewall: Inbound firewall functions a secure enhancement for a LAN network. In version V1.2, an inbound firewall is supported on the JetWave 32/33/3420 series to restrict access between the internet to devices in the LAN networks.

2. Wireless auto offload: Wireless auto offload is a more cost-effective access method; when using internet traffics, for propose of reduction cellular costs, the system will automatically forward outgoing traffic to the WIFI interface when the WIFI signal strength is good. This is why many industrial mobile operators see this feature critically.

3. Korenix Mobile Manager (KMM): KMM is specially designed to manage JetWave cellular devices remotely by updating the current IP address when the JetWave devices are changed. It is ideal management for supervising the cellular devices in the remote field site.

4. GPS: The JetWave 3320 series with the GPS module provides coordinate for the location of the AP position. It is useful for location-based services.

5. IPSec supported: IPSec is supported on the JetWave 32/33/3420 series. IPSec is designed to provide point-to-point secure tunnel to protect any application traffic over an IP network.
