With the innovative Stood-up Drop dosing system, our contact angle instruments measure the retraction behavior of dosed water drops in a matter of seconds. The method complements common contact angle methods and expands the possible applications of wetting measurement for testing material surfaces. In more than 15 applications, the results correlate well with those of manual, analog, and user-dependent tests, e.g., ink tests for wetting or the crosshatch test for coating adhesion. Some of our customers are already using the Stood-up Drop to reduce the number of time-consuming tests or replace outdated, analog methods.
