KVG’s new small size clock oscillator for extended industrial temperature range

KVG launches two new product series XO-25000E and XO-32000E for extended industrial temperature range with very small dimensions. For these crystal clock oscillators (XO) 3 different temperature ranges are available, which are not covered through usual standard products; following temperature ranges and stability-groups are available:

• -55 bis +125 °C ±50ppm

• -40 bis +125+°C ±50ppm

• -40 bis +105 °C ±40ppm

This includes stability vs. temperature range, adjustment tolerance @ 25°C, stability vs. 5% supply voltage change and 5% load change and aging for the first year.

Frequencies are available between 1.25 MHz and 100 MHz, with standard frequencies like 10 MHz, 20 MHz, 26 MHz, 50 MHz or 100 MHz.

KVG provides two different package styles: XO-25000E with dimensions 2.5 x 2 mm or XO-32000E with 3.2 x 2.5 mm, both are hermetically sealed and 100% RoHS compliant.

The available supply voltages are 1.8 V, 2.5 V or 3.3 V. With (LV)HCMOS and 45 to 55% duty cycle output is today’s industry standard. Output signal can be switched to high impedance (tristate) with disable-pin, which is useful for test procedures. Because of the low jitter of < 1ps rms (12 kHz to 20 MHz) these clock oscillators are recommended for sophisticated applications.

For all applications which requires a stable reference clock over a wide temperature range under rough environmental conditions the XO-25000E and XO-32000E are the best choice. These could be industrial instrumentation, geothermal or oil drilling equipment. Avionics and commercial space applications as well as automotive equipment is also potential field of application.
