The City of Lannion (France) invests in a sustainable rainwater harvesting solution

Lannion has equipped its technical services center with a high-performance rainwater harvesting system.

The project features a 240 m³ self-supporting closed flexible tank designed for rainwater storage. The installation also includes a fine filtration system upstream of the tank, along with an industrial rainwater management system, ensuring reliable and efficient use of the collected water.

A sustainable solution for local authorities

The harvested rainwater is used for several essential municipal applications, including:

- Filling street sweepers,
- Washing municipal vehicles,
- Watering greenhouses,
- Supplying sanitary facilities.
- Significant water savings

Thanks to this installation, the municipality saves 1,800 m³ of drinking water every year, covering nearly 80% of the water demand for these four essential applications.

This project demonstrates how local authorities can significantly reduce their potable water consumption while optimizing operating costs. It is a concrete example of sustainable water resource management, helping communities meet today's environmental challenges.
